"Aurora Mobile" was commissioned by the Department of Defense for a new military hospital in Fairbanks Alaska. It was conceived and fabricated in collaboration with Wendy Ernst Croskrey, professor of sculpture, University of Alaska Fairbanks. It has ball bearing swivels at all joints and weighs a total of 350 pounds. It was installed in October of 2006 in the atrium of the Bassett Army Hospital, Fairbanks Alaska. ■

Artists statement: Our mobile, an interpretive view of the Aurora Borealis, possess a character and size that fills the overhead space with a visually light and unthreatening structure. As a large piece of art moving in a place of healing, it projects serenity with grace and dignity. ■
